Set at a right angle to the house is a 18th century maison-grange mainly in its original condition with the exception of a new roof. As the name suggests, a maison-grange was a large barn where the farmer would over winter his livestock in the barn and have his accommodation directly above on the first floor, thus benefiting from the heat generated by the herd below!

The Upper Ground floor is accessed from the side via steps up to the door. The overall dimensions are approximately 12.5m x6.5m. Unable to verify the measurement as floor unsafe in parts. This area could easily accommodate a second floor or mezzanine.

To the side of the barn is a pigeonnier / citerne, 3.8m x 3.6m, used for recuperating water from the barn roof and home to pigeons. At a short distance from the courtyard is a sechoire a chataigne, a roofed stome structure used for drying nuts. It would possibly make an ideal pump house for a swimming pool.

The land around the house is mainly grassed with some shrubs and trees., opening onto open countryside.
