This old farmhouse is set in an acre and a half of Normandy countryside, with small farms on all sides. However, Avranches, the major town in the area, is only 10 minutes away. The St Malo ferry can be reached in less than an hour and the ferry port at Caen is a drive of 75 minutes.

The historic town of Avranches (10 minutes away) is quite an upmarket town with many boutiques, interesting shops, art galleries and restaurants It has three hypermarkets - Leclerc, Intermarché, and Carrefour. The small town of Brecey is the nearest with a full range of shops and is very typical of the area.


Granville, just to the North of Avranches, is a very fashionable town where many Parisians come for their holidays. It boasts a casino as well as many restaurants and shops. The old walled town of St Malo is well worth a visit and the nightlife within the city walls is lively.
