The house built in1860 was an old bakery and bakers shop, it lies in the quiet, sleepy, friendly village of Voisey which is department 52 (Haute Marne) in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France. The house is set between two others and is situated in the village centre and just a 10 minute walk from forest and woodlands and a 10 minute drive from Bourbonne-les-Bains. Larger towns such as Chaumont, Vesoul and Nancy are about 30-40 minute drive, as is the historic walled town of Langres. If winter sports are of interest to you the French Alps are approx 2 hours away as are the Swiss and German borders. Fantastic for cycling (I have done hundreds of miles) and for walking. Ideal for motor-cyclists to stop in mid European travels. TGV stations Dijon approx 1.5 hr and Chalindrey approx 50 mins

We are sorry to be leaving our part renovated home, but due to unforeseen circumstances we are not in a position to carry on with renovation work and need to return to the UK and family. A very large kitchen/diner, extremely large lounge, large bedroom en-suite and a spare bedroom make it very comfortable to live in whilst continuing with work in other areas, and as there is only a small container garden outside the kitchen window there is no worry of land getting overgrown if you are away for a few weeks or months, but if you require land there is plenty available for sale or to rent within the village.

The house has new electricity and plumbing, and is connected to main drainage.
