The village is quaint still with some cobbled streets, although the donkeys and mules have long since left, there are still traditional fiestas held in the village square and its still retains its charms. There is a local school, library, doctors surgery, pharmacy, supermarket, bars, 2 banks, town hall, tobacconist, weekly market, public pool which you will not need ! Just a short 10mins drive away you have the historic town of Priego de Cordoba where you will find an abundance of restaurants, bars, banks, shops, supermarkets, schools, hospital etc.

About 40mins drive away you have Cordoba in one direction, 1hr Granada in the other. Both steeped in history, culture and many exciting places to see.
