Its great location places it two hours from Rome airports and 50 minutes from Pescara airport. Several ski resorts are no more than 30 minutes away and the seaside is less than an hour's drive. The area offers relaxing peace and quiet, and is immersed in nature but comes alive in summer when people from all over the Globe come to stay and enjoy the outdoor celebrations, food fairs, medieval jousting and flea-markets. In the winter people come to ski at the nearby resorts. The town is within the National Park and is close to a multitude of other mountain towns each with their own historical antiquity and culinary specialities. The area's breathtaking views provide the setting for hiking, biking and horseback riding amidst the countless trails. The nearby town of Sulmona (5 kilometres away) has big supermarkets and shopping centers as well as an open farmers' market with countless other stalls selling local wares, clothes, accessories, fabrics, etc. twice a week.
The area is strategically located with easy access to towns, the seaside, ski resorts, Rome and many other tourist attractions by car, bus and train. An incredible place to live life to its fullest!
