Location and surrounding area
Six Fours-les-Plages is a small town of 35 000 inhabitants where all the amenities are available. Despite its 19 km of shore and 7 beaches, labelled as Blue Pavillion, it is not just a summer place and it has a year round activity and can be lived on a yearly basis. Six Fours les Plages is also one of those typical fishing harbours of the Var coastline surrounding Toulon. Not being yet spotted on the international tourism map this coastline is a relatively undiscovered and unfairly underrated area of the Mediterrenean coastline. Still, it is a kind of quintessence of the best things the French Mediterranean coastline can offer: deep blue and warm sea, a very sunny climate, a scenic coastline made of a series of cliffs and capes, sandy beaches, coves and islands, lovely harbours and villages with a year round activity, well stocked street markets, good restaurants and lively bars. Unlike many other parts of the French Riviera, it has kept its natural aspect in many protected places such as Iles des Embiez a small paradise for pedestrians only with clear and warm waters, or Cape Sicié a vast territory of about 2500 acres of pine forest and Mediterranean vegetation dominating the sea and offering dramatic views. All this, very accessible thanks to Marseille international airport at just 1h10 drive or Nice airport at 1h40. The renowned vineyard of Bandol, famous for its Rosé wines, can add to the attraction of the area too!
