This charming riverside, detached country house of character is set off the road and reached via a 200m track which leads down to the front gates. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and just under an acre of gardens.

The River Dronne runs the entire length of the plot, making a beautiful backdrop to the picturesque garden. It has a car port to house two vehicles (one is of motor-home height) and there is room for further car parking. The house had a new roof 12 years ago and we understand that the electrical system and the plumbing are up to date. The house is in good condition and there are many interesting, original features which enhance the character of this very special property.

The house has 3 bedrooms with the possibility of a fourth, and 2 bathrooms. It has oil-fired central heating but this is rarely used as the wood-burner can heat the house and there is also an open fireplace. The property has its own water source for garden and domestic use.

The house is set off the road and reached by a 200m track which leads to the gates of the property. There are 2 sheds, one at the side of the house and containing a pump, oil tank and water heater and the other in the garden. There is a well with a pump to provide extra water for the house. There is a variety of fruit trees and mature shrubs and ample space for a pool.

The property has just one neighbouring house but is well screened by trees in the garden to ensure privacy. The village, which is 2kms away, has shops, including a chemist, a supermarket and post office as well as a café and bar, two hotels, one with a Michelin rated restaurant. Local outdoor attractions include a nearby swimming lake with beach and a golf course which is 30 minutes' drive. The small town of Nontron is a short drive and has the full range of shops. Limoges Airport is just 50 minutes away.
