Location

Where is Benitachell? Benitachell is North of Moraira and South of Javea. From Alicante and Valencia airports head to the AP7 Autopista and exit junction 63. This is signposted, Moraira, Gata de Gorgos and Teulada. On exiting this junction follow signs to Benitachell/Benitaxell there are quite often 2 languages on the signposts. Castilian and Valenciano.

The pretty town of Benitachell is 5 minutes inland a very traditionally Spanish town and all amenities are open all year round.

There is a beautiful square with the main church and little coffee shops around. Major supermarkets, banks, bars and restaurants and on the national N332 road there are car dealers, hardware stores, garden centres and commercial parks.
Various urbanisations surround the town and Cumbre del Sol is the main place for properties overlooking the Mediterranean sea. A very dramatic landscape and if you drive to the Mirador (view points) you can see the coast from Valencia, Gandia, Oliva, Javea and down the coast to Moraira, Calpe and Benidorm, and with various restaurants, bars and shops on the urbanisation and their own beach.

Activities

Golf the nearest golf course is Ifach Golf Club well it is more than just a golf club it is a family club with tennis, 9 holes, 18 holes and you can buy shares and go for a relaxing swim after.

Javea has a golf course designed by Francisco Moreno and opened in 1981. The course is a gently sloping 9 hole course with well-maintained greens and fairways flanked by palm trees, pine trees and orange trees. Although it has only 9 holes, on the second time around or back nine, many of the holes are played from different tees making it virtually an 18 hole course.
La Sella Golf, Moraira Golf and various other courses are all within half an hour's drive so the choice is varied which makes it a very popular location to be for golfers.

There are various golf courses in the region, Javea, La Sella near Denia, Oliva Nova, Calpe and many more up and down the coastline.
Go Karting is a great day out for the family, children and grandchildren.

Waterparks Benidorm has a huge water park with incredible water slides and vertical slides. Various friends have been with the family of all ages and they put this on the agenda once or twice a year.

Equestrian Centres various horse riding centres are around Benissa, Calpe, Altea and Moraira. Different stables offer different facilities, jumping, hacks, dressage and for all abilities.

Beaches

A wide variety of water sports including, scuba diving, snorkelling, jet skiing, sailing, kayaking and much more. Or if you prefer a relaxing time to just soak up the sunshine then there are plenty of places to enjoy a relaxing time.

Boat Trips

A choice of boat excursions are available on the comfortable catamaran or Coastal Cruiser, including Sunset Cruises, Swimming Trips and Catamaran / Jet Ski excursions.

International Schools

An important part of permanent living in Spain with children, the Lady Elisabeth schools are very popular as they are international and have a very high success rate of passing exams. There is a coach that picks up children from various other towns and takes then to school.
