This property is located less than 10 minutes from the busy town of Alora, which has all the usual facilities plus a railway station with connection to Malaga City for just 3€! Malaga airport and the coast are a short drive away, and the lakes at El Chorro, and the famous Camino del Rey are close by.

Situated in a large plot of almost 10,000 m2, the house is a rare find. Built in the 1950s with some later additions, the property has so much character but also practicality. Downstairs is very rustic, upstairs has a more modern feel. The property has been fully restored by the present owner over a number of years.

The property is approached via an electric sliding gate and a long driveway leads to the parking area next to the house. At the front of the house there is a classic terrace with mature grapevines over, and this looks out to the extensive orchards mainly of orange and lemon trees. Irrigation water is available for the land, and town water for the house, but in front of the terrace there is a folly, a brick built well which actually houses a water deposit and is not a well at all!

The house is entered through old wooden doors, which lead in to the living room with fireplace. The dining area has a woodburner, and a wooden door leads in to a bathroom with shower, toilet and basin.  From the kitchen/ dining room a door opens out in to a walled courtyard where there is a private swimming pool with steps and underwater lighting, surrounded by a rustic terrace, and there is also an outside kitchen with twin sinks, tiled worktop and  dishwasher, and a storage room. Doors from the courtyard lead to the gardens. The downstairs bedroom is accessed from the hallway, and is a double bedroom with ceiling fan. The whole of the downstairs area is full of character, with exposed timber, rustic original floors and many features.

Upstairs has been made more modern and practical, whilst retaining the character of the house. There is a large landing area with a wardrobe,  two bedrooms, and a bathroom. The bedrooms are both large, one with air conditioning, and wardrobes, the other with woodburner, and the bathroom has basin in marble surround, shower, bath, toilet and wall heater. The flooring is wood laminate, so well suited to a bedroom area.

Outside, the large plot surrounds the property, and to the side of the house there is an original bread oven and a storage room. Large mature palm trees protect the front of the house from the sun, and there is ample parking for many cars.
