There is a market every Monday throughout the year and night markets in the summer months. At other times of year there is a regular schedule of events and entertainments which make the area a very enjoyable place in which to live and holiday. You are also close to the vineyards of Bordeaux, Cotes de Duras and Bergerac and the charming bastide towns of Lot et Garonne and the Dordogne.

For the sporty there is a tennis club in Duras and courts in several nearby villages. At Chateau de Vigiers, which is also about 10 minutes from the house, there is a respected golf club and recreational complex which includes a luxurious hotel, restaurants. tennis courts and gym.

The property is also around 10 minutes from the riverside town of Ste Foy la Grande where you can catch a train to the UNESCO world heritage city of Bordeaux. Bordeaux airport is around 75 minutes away by car and Bergerac airport can be reached in around half an hour.
