Lounge: Parquet flooring, good quality shutters.The lounge has a large sofa bed (the top cover reveals a single mattress when removed which we use as a single bed in the 2nd bedroom), flatscreen TV, DVD player, standing corner lamp, dining table with glass top and 4 chairs (table extends to 8 people and there are 4 other chairs in the 2nd bedroom), freestanding wine glass unit, wine rack, library alcove whose shelves were handmade by a carpenter, plenty of space for books and DVDs, and a storage unit under the library, refuse sacks. Kitchen: Terracotta floor; gas cooker has 4 burners, oven, Combined gas and electricity boiler, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Fully equipped with pots and pans, plates, glasses, cutlery, bottle opener, caffetiere (coffee maker). View over University Church (illuiminated at night), table cloths.

There's a handy grocery store next door, a gym on the same street and a fresh fruit and vegetable market at the end of the road every Tuesday and Thursday! There's a also a fish market four times a week in the Mercato Coperto in the centre. It's a lively but safe neighbourhood and is a ten minute walk to Perugia's gorgeous city centre (Fontana Maggiore, Corso Vannucci) and boasts Il Tempietto at the top of the street and is 3 mins from the Etruscan Arch. For those who wish to take a high-quality language course, the University for Foreigners is a 3-minute walk away.
There's a great cinema almost literally across the road from the apartment which shows films every night of the week. There is also a fantastic open air cinema season during the summer months.
There are several bus routes in and out of the city centre and Perugia has a direct train line (central station is Fontivegge) to Rome (2.5 hours), Firenze (2 hours) Assisi (15 mins) and other cities. A more local station is at Perugia Sant'Anna, which goes to Citta' di Castello, Sansepolcro.
Getting to the apartment: there is a bus C at Fontivegge Train Station that stops in Piazza Fortebraccio and from there it is a 5-minute walk. There are also taxis. There is also a handy mini metro which goes from the city centre to the main train station. At the bus station there are no taxis.
Rome's Fiumicino and Ciampino are about 2-2.5 hours away by car, Bologna 3 hours by car, Florence 90 minutes by car, Siena one hour by car, Lake Trasimeno 20 mins by car, Assisi 15 mins by car. Perugia also has its own international airport with direct links to London Stansted, Brussels, Barcelona, Cagliari and other destinations.
Our house is located in a limited traffic area (Z.T.L). If you intend to take up residency you can apply for a resident's parking permit. Otherwise, cars may pass through (but not park, although you should be ok if you wish to unload bags for a few minutes before going to park and on Sundays you are unlikely to see a traffic warden) Monday to Saturday from 1pm-midnight, while Sunday the ZTL zone it is open all day for passing through from 7am until midnight.
Free: If you intend to take up residency you can apply for a resident's parking permit, otherwise there are two options -just outside Porta Sant'Angelo (5 mins walk from the apartment), there is a street where you can park (usually nothing happens but it is at your risk).
Otherwise, there is a garage called Sant'Antonio with a parking tariff (5 minutes walk) but closer to the centre. The price starts at €1,50 per hour rising to €17 per day. Both can be reached without passing through the ZTL zone.
