Casa del Patio is situated in the village of Pinos del Valle in the beautiful Lecrin Valley and is halfway between the picturesque city of Granada and the Mediterranean coast, they are approximately 30 minutes in either direction.

The ski resort of Granada is under one hour away and offers skiing and snowboarding.
It is often said that you can ski in the morning and be on the Mediterranean beach in the afternoon.

The village nestles on hillsides of olive, almond and citrus groves.
In January and February the almond blossom is in full bloom, closely followed by the heady blossom of the citrus trees.
There are miles of lovely walks throughout the area, from which to enjoy stunning views whilst meandering through the groves, across hills and valleys.

A few minutes walk from the house will take you to the local panaderia, from where you can buy your fresh bread for the day.
Within the village are two local bars, both with outside terraces and views over the surrounding mountains.
Both bars follow the local tradition of providing tapas with every drink.
Also available is Menu del Dia for a more substantial meal.
Like many of the valley villages, Pinos del Valle boasts a small weekly market, with a range of stalls offering everything from local fruit and vegetables to underwear!
There is also a bank with cash point, two pharmacies and two grocer shops, where its possible to buy all the necessary provisions.

Within the valley and just ten minutes drive away is a larger, more comprehensive supermarket for all your needs.

As with most Spanish villages, Pinos has its own fiestas - in the spring and the summer.
These colourful events are full of spectacle, including marching bands, firework displays, floats and horseback riders.
For the villagers, their friends and families, they provide the chance to dress in their finest and dance the night away.
