Above the village there is a 12th Century Moorish Castle and the famous Canalobre Caves. A 10 minute drive takes you to the fishing village of El Campello with a beautiful beach and marina or visit the 5 km of golden sands in San Juan Playa. From El Campello you catch the frequent trams to central Alicante and explore Santa Barbara Castle, the magnificent marina and brows numerous shops, bars and restaurants.

The history of Busot city is as old as the history of Canelobre Caves. These caves were formed approximately 150 million years ago. It was during the late Jurassic and early Cretaceous periods. It is believed that these caves were used by the human civilization in the beginning. Moorish are supposed to be the founders of these caves. After that these caves were used by Arabs during Spanish Civil War. From there onwards, the city of Busot came into being with people residing there. They opted for agriculture in the beginning and then advanced to other trades.
