This is a top floor light and airy good size one bedroom fully furnished apartment in the fishing village of Santa Luzia located in an area where local people live. (67,13m).
The village is in a very traditional area of Portugal, peaceful, beautiful and sleepy, and very much sought after. Located only 30 minutes from Faro airport and 20km from the Spanish border.
The apartment forms part of a fishing house and has two balconies, one to the front of the property and one to the rear which houses a built in barbeque. The apartment comprises an entrance hall with a door to the front balcony, a living room with overhead fan and sliding doors leading to the back balcony with barbeque overlooking the roof tops to the estuary.
The kitchen is fitted with appliances and the vestibule area has windows that slide open overlooking the roof tops. The bathroom is equipped with a bath and shower over, bidet and WC and is fully tiled. The gas bottle runs the gas stove and the water heater and the gas bottles are purchased in the local shop or can be delivered.
There is one bedroom with a fitted wardrobe and sliding doors to the balcony, which is large enough to sunbathe on and has two reclining chairs and a sunblind. There are air conditioning units, which also serve as heaters in the bedroom and the living room. The property has a TV and DVD player and is fitted with NOS digital which you can subscribe to.
The apartment has all mod cons, including washing machine, dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster and all cooking equipment required. There is also bedding and towels in the apartment.
There are 2 sofa beds available in the living room.
A two minute walk takes you into the fishing village where a boat will take you to the beach(boat runs May- Sept) or you can walk and take the mini train to the Barrill beach which is famous in this part of the algarve for it's beauty. Santa Luzia has some small local shops which service the local community, a pharmacy, a bank & restaurants.
Tavira is 5 minutes away in a taxi, or a 25 minute walk. Tavira is a very traditional and beautiful historical town, and has everything you would need.
There is plenty to do in this beautiful part of Portugal, take in the history of Tavira, eat fresh fish in the Portuguese restaurants and stroll down the beautiful unspoilt beaches.

Getting there.
Fly to Faro and either hire a car, get a taxi(40/50 euros) or book the resorthoppa.com which is a shared bus service, and it will drop you off and collect you from the apartment.
Getting around
There is a hourly bus service which stops by the fishing huts, a one minute walk from the apartment. (2 euros). This bus will take you into Tavira. A taxi is 4-5 euros. There is a sleepy train from Tavira that will take you to different parts of the coast. There is a bus service from Tavira bus station, where you can go anywhere, including Seville in Spain.

The apartment has a Portuguese licence which you would need to re-apply for in your name, however, all the relevant work has been done in the apartment to get a new licence.

Health and Safety
The apartment has electricity and gas certificates, fire blankets, a fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, a comments book & a folder detailing how to work each appliance, including emergency contact numbers in Portugal.
There is parking to the left hand side of the apartment, this is waste land currently used by the locals or you can park outside the apartment block around the corner. The street is quiet narrow so people don't tend to park outside the apartment.
You can apply for a Portuguese mortgage with the banks in Portugal, all you need to do is get a tax number(fiscal) number which the solicitors will supply you with. I can supply you with all contact details in Portugal that you would require. All agreements and payments are made in Euros through bank transfer to the solicitor in Portugal.
