Damside House is an attractive traditional 19th century farmhouse , which has been extended over the years, most recently in the late 1970s. It occupies an elevated position with far reaching views northwards, over Strathmore, to the hills beyond. The house is stone built, with the later extension being brick built. It has a slate roof and faces south looking out over its gardens to the paddock beyond. It still retains much of its period feel and character with panelled doors and cornicings but at the same time offers spacious accommodation.
It was originally built as a farmhouse. The steading to the rear has been removed. In its place are to be six bespoke properties, two of which have been completed and one is nearing completion. Damside House is surrounded by its own most attractive and extensive gardens. In front of the house is a gravelled parking and turning area.
The accommodation on two floors, comprises hallway, dining room, drawing room, sitting room, kitchen, utility room, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms.
Damside House benefits from extensive garden ground which surrounds the house. In front are flower and shrub borders and beyond are lawned areas, enclosed by hedging and a wall, providing privacy and shelter. There are further areas of lawn, to the side of the house, with fruit trees.
Behind the house are further areas of garden, again mainly down to lawn. Beyond is a former hen run.
There is a stone built garage (7.55 m x 4.65) with a slate roof and concrete floor. Adjacent is a timber built stable block with two loose boxes and a store, now used for storage.
In front of the house and garden is a grass paddock, enclosed by fencing.
