Oakbank has a unique position with direct frontage to the Gare Loch. Whilst many houses in Shandon claim to front the water, very few are not separated from the water by the A814. To the north the A811 leads to Stirling to join the M9 south to Edinburgh and the A9 north to Perth.

Argyll and Bute is home to some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery and nearby Loch Lomond is part of Scotland's first national park. The loch is well known for its water sports including wind surfing, sailing and excellent water skiing and wake boarding.

Directions

From Helensburgh travel west on the A814. Travel through the village of Rhu, pass Rhu Marina, Rhu Parish Church and the Royal Northern & Clyde Yacht Club towards Shandon. Follow the road along the coast through Shandon. Immediately after passing the Gables (signed on the right hand side), Oakbank can be seen on the left and is accessed through black gates.
