Chestall Park History Chestall Hall was once part of the vast Beau Desert Estate and has a long and fascinating history. The park of Beau Desert occupied a large part of the ancient Cannock Chase. After the Great War, the Marquis of Anglesey sold Chestall Manor to a Mr Charles Wootton who was a timber merchant from Cannock, who eventually in 1996 sold the estate. Not only was the hall then restored, but also the traditional redundant farm buildings in the Hamlet of Chestall were converted to quality family homes.
