Description
Craigton of Airlie House is believed to date from the 1970s. It was built by the local estate for a member of the family. It is block built and harled, with a tiled roof. The single storey accommodation is well laid out, with a spacious, south facing drawing room making the most of the views. Two of the bedrooms also face south. The dining room is linked to the kitchen and has a door to the garden. There is a spacious hall. The house sits well with woods rising behind it. It benefits from secondary glazing. A tarred driveway leads up past the cottage to a parking and turning area at the back of the house.
Accommodation
The accommodation comprises entrance vestibule, hallway, drawing room, dining room, kitchen, utility room, WC, bedroom with en suite shower room, 2 further bedrooms and bathroom.
Outside
There is an attached garage with concrete floor, up and over door, and door to the utility room. Under the drawing room an outside hatch leads to an under floor storage area.
In front of the house is a raised, paved terrace with rose, flower and shrub borders and steps leading down to the garden which is mainly lawned and enclosed by fences and hedging. To the side of the house is a further paved terrace with a path leading out to the garden beyond, which includes a rockery, flower and shrub borders. There are some sheltered seating areas, with trees providing shelter and privacy. At the back of the house the garden has an aviary with a wooden doo' cot. There is an enclosed oil tank.
The Old Post Office, which is a 2 bedroom cottage, could be available in addition.
