Cornwall's unique character comes from its' historic landscape, spectacular coastline and secret coves. Perhaps more than any other part of the county, West Cornwall embodies these qualities being blessed with stunning white powdered shell beaches and crystal clear blue water for some of the best surfing and diving in the UK.

Referred to as "The loveliest village in England" by Dylan Thomas, Mousehole is a truly picturesque harbourside village comprising pretty stone cottages, fine restaurants, the famous Ship Inn, post office, grocery store and art galleries are clustered around the small medieval harbour.

Whilst West Cornwall is renowned for its' awe-inspiring scenery, coastline, arts scene and legendary surfing, the area is fast developing as a culinary and sporting Mecca: there are a host of highly acclaimed restaurants in Penzance, St. Ives, Mousehole and Sennen. Meanwhile competitive dinghy sailing, wind surfing and kite surfing are synonymous with Mounts Bay.

The harbour-side town of Penzance offers a wide range of amenities, shops and supermarkets and both private and state schooling, notably the highly regarded Bolitho School, recently named as the best private school in the South West, with its Sixth Form rated 20th in the country by The Times. Above the harbour, Chapel Street is famous for its galleries and historic Georgian architecture. The much painted Lamorna Cove to the south is well known for its links to the famous Newlyn School of Artists including Sir Alfred Munnings PRA, and further west the cliff-top Minack Theatre attracts visitors from far and wide.

Communications to Cornwall have improved greatly with the A30 now mostly dual carriageway from the M5 at Exeter to Penzance. Lands End Airport offers facilities for private aircraft, besides training, scenic and regular flights to the Isles of Scilly connecting to Bristol and Southampton. The London Paddington to Penzance mainline terminus overlooks Mount's Bay just yards from the sea and Newquay Airport offer regular flights to London and many other UK and European destinations.

Cliff Cottage is a picturesque double fronted stone built cottage perched on the harbourside, facing south, and taking in beautiful views of the harbour and the sea beyond.
This delightful cottage has recently been refurbished to a high standard throughout and offers very comfortable accommodation and very practical layout. The entrance door opens into a large reception room with two fireplaces and views of the harbour from the two windows. The kitchen is located to the rear of the ground floor and looks out into the enclosed courtyard garden at the rear. Adjacent to the kitchen is the rear hallway with a door that opens into the ground floor wet room and an outside door leading to the rear courtyard. The first floor comprises three bedrooms and the family bathroom. The two larger bedrooms are located on the front of the property and enjoy views across the harbour.

To the front of the cottage, adjacent to the front door, are small enclosed low walled gardens with railings over and planted with a variety of shrubs and Cornish palm trees. There is also an enclosed rear courtyard with cold tap, oil tank and pedestrian gate and a utility room: 7' 10 x 5' 0 (2.39m x 1.52m) with plumbing for washing machine, oil fired central heating boiler, power and light.

Entering Mousehole by car from Penzance/Newlyn, in summer you are
best advised to park in the car park just before The Old Coastguard
and before the harbour/centre, although there are two car parks either
side of the inner harbour. Cliff Cottage is the first residential property on the right-hand side as you enter the harbour from the north.
