SITUATION

Hawson Farm Cottage occupies a fabulous position lying in the lea of the moor on the southern slopes of Dartmoor National Park between the villages of Scoriton and Holne.

Gorgeous riding and walking country is available literally on the doorstep.

Scoriton has a traditional pub, The Tradesman's Arms, and a well supported Village Hall which holds frequent community events.

The towns of Ashburton (about 5 miles) and Buckfastleigh (about 3 miles) each provide a useful range of everyday shops and amenities.

There are school buses available to local junior and senior schools/college.

Although occupying a genuinely unspoiled moorland setting, Scoriton is readily accessible, with the A38 at Dartbridge just an eight minute car journey bringing Plymouth and Exeter within convenient striking distance.

DESCRIPTION

Hawson Farm Cottage started off life as a relatively modest detached period cottage and has been creatively enlarged and upgraded over the years to provide a well appointed family-sized home.

It has flexible three to four bedroom accommodation and two attractive reception rooms, each with wood-burners.

Many rooms take in the wonderful views of the surrounding moorland landscape, through the plentiful double-glazed timber framed windows.

The gardens and grounds provide a most attractive setting with sheltered lawned garden, patio and decked seating areas and a driveway which sets the property back nicely from the lane.

There is an excellent two car garage, two stables, hen house and two paddock enclosures, ideal for grazing animals.
