The Vendor's View
This is a warm, friendly, happy house. As soon as it has children or families anywhere about it, it comes to life. I originally moved here with my parents before living here with my wife, so I have loads of childhood memories here – my first laps around the house on my go-kart, camping in the garden, the tree-houses, the seaside nearby. I remember those times with immense fondness.

The hall is my favourite room. It has a big open fireplace, with its original Victorian tiles, with a seating area alongside and parquet flooring. I also like the kitchen, which has a serving hatch linking the south-east facing dining room, where the big gatherings happened. I remember Christmases, family and friends’ parties there. Happy times.

We’ve modernised the house, but kept its traditional style. We restored the original parquet flooring, to keep the beautiful colours of the wood. Every room downstairs has a fireplace. All the bedrooms, except the nursery and bathroom, have open fires. It’s a very 1920s built house. It’s great when you come back from work and open the front door to see the fire in the hall.

The garden here is very large. We’ve held parties with friends, a small intimate wedding reception, family barbecues and birthday celebrations there. And I’ll always remember the sea views and the stunning sunrises and sunsets we get here.

But we have three children and two grandchildren, who have all grown up and moved away. That, and with my changing job, means we’ve decided to move so another young family can grow up here and enjoy the sort of times we did.
