Dalton Piercy is a traditional village lying just to the west of Hartlepool. Originally just called Dalton, the village was once part of the Manor of Hart which was granted to Robert de Brus by William the Conqueror. It was later transferred to the Balliol family and Piercy was added to its name in the 13th century following the marriage of Ellen de Balliol to William de Piercy, Duke of Northumberland. Until recently the village green was a perfect example of a medieval two-row form and was gated at each end to keep in the cattle in. The village has grown in more recent times and is perfectly placed for access to the surrounding centres of Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle.
For the commuter the A19 and A1 (M) provide links to the major commercial centres of the north east. The East Coast Mainline Railway and International Airports at Durham Tees Valley and Newcastle offer further communications with the rest of the country. Many of the regions attractions are within a days drive, including the North Yorkshire Moors, the Lake District, Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
Petersbrooke, Field House Farm is a compact livery business in a prime location close to numerous commercial centres. The detached family home provides spacious and versatile accommodation including two reception rooms plus a large family kitchen, along with a study and five bedrooms. There is a family bathroom/WC and separate shower room along with double glazing and oil fired central heating throughout.
The gardens are south facing and enjoy views across to the Cleveland Hills. The land which surrounds the property extends to 7.3Ha (18 Ac) and there is an indoor arena and outdoor schooling ring.
The entrance doorway leads to a lobby with flagstone flooring which in turn leads through to the entrance hallway, having bespoke timber staircase leading off to the first floor, oak floor boarding, mock exposed beams and useful storage cupboards. The sitting room is a through room with double opening French doors to either hand, oak flooring and wood burning stove. There are oak fronted units throughout, integrated refrigerator and freezer and brick archway through to the dining area, again with exposed beams and oak flooring.
