This four bedroom link detached grade II listed house was formerly a union workhouse, built in 1836 with possibly an earlier core and further alterations about 1900 has a four panelled arched partly glazed hardwood door. The doorway has a reset of C15 surround of limestone, arched and hollowed chamfered with a label above heavily moulded with a carved frieze bearing two shields, one flanked by angel's the other by lions. The building has rendered masonry walls with parapets and a Dutch gable at either end of the front with slated roof, mullioned and transomed casements of about 1900. The rear wing of 1836, gault brick with slated roof, has horizontal sliding casements on the north side. Available with no onward chain the property offers a versatile layout and also benefits from an outbuilding which has previously had planning permission to convert to a self contained annexe.
