Fern Cottage is one of only a few properties in private ownership in this beautiful National Trust Village within a mile of the coast and close to the Packhorse Bridge one the most photographed landmarks in the area.

Allerford is a charming village famous for its picturesque pack horse bridge and period cottages, it is served by a village post office/shop, village hall with recreational ground and Allerford Reading Room Club. Located between the popular Exmoor village of Porlock (2 Miles) which has an excellent range of everyday facilities and the Victorian seaside town of Minehead (3 miles) which has an excellent range of shopping, banking and schooling facilities together with bowling, tennis, golf and the beautiful Blenheim Gardens which still has the original bandstand. The county town of Taunton which has mainline rail connections and access to the motorway network is approximately twenty seven miles to the east. For those who enjoy exploring the countryside there are superb nearby walks within the Exmoor National Park and the many renowned places of interest are all within motoring distance.
