Proceed for some 7 miles continuing through the traffic lights near the Rhug estate, past the Goat Inn in Maerdy and after approximately 3 miles take the left hand turning onto a minor country lane signposted LLangwm. Follow the road along the straight for approximately 3/4 of a mile and turn left also signposted for the village. Continue into the village centre proceeding past the square and bus stop and follow the road out of the village to the right bearing uphill and on reaching the chapel turn immediately left onto a 'no through' lane.
Continue for approximately three quarters of a mile and on reaching the farm gate continue straight ahead for about 1 mile. PLEASE NOTE : that this section of lane is unmade and is basically a hardcored track over which great care should be taken. There are two field gates and please ensure that the gates are kept closed at all times. Continue on this lane to its farthest point which is in the base of the cwm and Cwm Llan will be found on the right hand side.
