    Shawbank is about 7.7 miles north of Ludlow and about 2 miles east of Craven Arms. Leave Ludlow by the A49 Shrewsbury road north. After about 1.7 miles turn right onto the B4365 Much Wenlock road. Continue across the Golf Course. About a mile after the village of Culmington turn left (sign Westhope College). Continue for a few hundred yards to the next junction whereupon turn left onto the B4368 towards Craven Arms. Continue for 1.2 miles. Turn right into the concealed track of Shawbank. Number 5 is the first house on the right.
    Alternatively from Craven Arms take the B4368 Bridgnorth road. Travel for 1.9 miles. The concealed entrance to Shawbank is on the left hand side a few yards after the entrance to 'Greenway'.
