After approximately 3 miles, you are on Minchinhampton Common and its golf course and a sign post with the name Tom Long's post at the top of the sign. Turn left here for Nailsworth and continue over the common and down the Alpine road. Prior to reaching Nailsworth itself and immediately before the cattle grid turn right into Watledge Lane and continue for approximately quarter of a mile. As the road widens Fern Bank can be found up on the right hand side.
