Directions

From Glasgow city centre head south on the M74. Leave the motorway at junction 8 and follow signs for Strathaven on the A71. Continue on the A71 through Strathaven and then turn left on to the B743 (signposted Muirkirk). After crossing the bridge over the Avon Water take the first turning on the right. Follow this road for about 500 yards and Lochar Smithy is on the right hand side.
