Heat Recovery System

The heat recovery system is one of the latest energy efficiency systems to be developed and as well as saving on fuel costs, it creates a more comfortable living environment. Traditionally, warm air from houses is extracted from bathrooms and kitchens and ejected into the atmosphere. A warmed house can be drained of its warmth very quickly. The heat recovery system collects all this extracted air from bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchen and utility and sends it to the heat recovery system where a heat exchanger removes all the heat before ejecting out of the building. At the same time, fresh cool air is drawn into a separate inlet from outside and heated up via the heat exchanger before gently distributing around the sleeping and living rooms in the house. Utilising this system means the house is treated as a fully sealed box with no ther outlets/inlets.

Home Automation

The barn has been completely pre-wired for home automation. Each room has between 2 and 8 cat5 feeds as well as traditional co-axial cable and high quality stereo speaker cables to ceiling points. Main living room and all bedrooms have power, cat5 and coax at mid-wall points for wall mounted TVs. All feeds run back to the control room (studio/office
