The site fronts an existing roadway (Maynard Park) on the south side where vehicular access to the properties will be provided and has natural hedge boundaries to the north and west. A timber fence on forms the boundary to the east.

BERE ALSTON

The village of Bere Alston is situated in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' approximately 6 miles from Tavistock and 12 miles from Plymouth. The village benefits from a primary school, post office, doctors surgery, public house, church and small supermarket. Leisure pursuits are readily available in the surrounding area including riding, walking and canoeing on Dartmoor, sailing from Plymouth Sound or the South Hams and surfing on the north and south coasts. The nearby market town of Tavistock offers many facilities and individual shops as well as health centres, a hospital, leisure centre with swimming pool, arts centre with theatre and cinema and excellent schools. Bere Alston is situated on the Tamar Valley railway line with direct access to Plymouth main line station, making the trip to London Paddington in around three hours. PLANNING & S106

West Devon Borough Council granted detailed planning permission (Ref.00297/2013) for the erection of four detached single storey dwellings on land adjacent to 45 Maynard Park, Bere Alston on the 25th July 2013. This permission has subsequently expired and therefore a new application has been submitted under planning ref. 2213/16/FUL again for the "Construction of No.4 detached single storey dwellings". Determination of this application is expected in late September 2016.
