Winterton-On-Sea is a small village on the east coast of Norfolk, around 8 miles north of Great Yarmouth. Great Yarmouth is a coastal town in Norfolk. It is located at the mouth of the River Yare, 20 miles east of Norwich.
It has been a seaside resort since 1760, and is the gateway from the Norfolk Broads to the sea. For hundreds of years it was a major fishing port.
