Situation - This fabulous family home is neatly located on a small residential country lane known as Sladnor Park Road. It is situated in a secluded yet elevated position within the Countryside Zone, Coastal Preservation Area, and Area of Great Landscape Value. The property has the advantage of far-reaching views across the rolling Devon countryside to Lyme Bay and Portland. It is located on the rural edge of the delightful hamlet of Maidencombe.
Maidencombe is a terrific little hamlet with a Pub; the wonderful beach won the Quality Coast Award 2009 and the Good Beach Guide 2009, and is only a short walk or 300 metres as the crow flies. There is an excellent primary school at the nearby village of Stokeinteignhead as well as a village shop, church and pub. A first-rate range of recreational, educational and cultural facilities can be found in the delightful town of Torquay, a few miles to the South, which has the highly regarded Torquay Grammar School for boys and girls and of course its marina. Torquay is well served with direct rail links to the major cities. For those who commute the motorway network begins at the Cathedral City and county town of Exeter approximately 19 miles from the property, with the maritime Port of Plymouth 40 miles to the west.

Description - Torside is an impressively spacious detached property that has been considerably extended and upgraded in recent years, to create a spacious family home. It sits in generous grounds and enjoys lovely sea and country views. The accommodation is sensibly arranged in such a way that it could easily form an independent unit for an extended family if required. A particular feature is the recently constructed kitchen/breakfast room and family room area. There are two external balconies that lead off the kitchen and sitting room bringing the outside in and are an excellent way to enjoy the sea and countryside views.

Accommodation - The house has an "in and out" driveway providing access onto either Sladnor Park Road or Teighmouth Road. The grounds are largely bordered by Devon hedgerows providing plenty of security and privacy. The house itself is constructed over two levels with the first floor playing host to the majority of the reception accommodation; this allows full enjoyment of the far reaching views. The kitchen/breakfast room is a super size room which offers good sea views and an area of space to sit with family and friends, offering a generous amount of matching fitted cupboards and integrated bells and whistles. Patio doors open onto a timber decked area with a staircase leading to the gardens. A separate cloakroom and spacious utility room offering direct access out to the gardens.
The sitting room is a triple aspect room with access to the terrace; this is a relaxing area to spend time with an abundance of natural light plus views to the sea and across your grounds. This floor also has two bedrooms including the master with en-suite.
The ground floor has three bedrooms and an office/study as well as the family bathroom.

Garden & Grounds - The grounds extend to 0.554 acres (0.224 ha) with a driveway running from front to back. Electric five bar gates, with entry phone, stop dogs and children from escaping. The drive continues to a detached double garage with wide access drive, turning space and parking.
The majority of the grounds are laid to lawn with established trees and flower beds, there is also a small pond, brick barbecue and a paved patio. Sea views can be seen from some parts of the garden and balconies.
