In the other direction, Woking town centre has been the subject of very considerable investment in recent years and the result is a bustling and very cosmopolitan town with a wide and varied collection of shops and restaurants and no more so than in the Peacocks centre which also houses the New Victoria theatre and the multi-screen cinema. Woking also has what is widely regarded to be one of the best commuting stations in the south east and runs a fast and extremely frequent service into Waterloo. Send is surrounded by miles of green hills and open countryside, all of which provide excellent walking and cycling opportunities and for those times when you wish to commute by road, the A3 and thereby the M25 are also very close at hand. In short, this is an excellent location to take advantage of both the town and the countryside.
