BEAUMONT With a history dating back to the Domesday Book in 1086 Ingsdon was already an established manor and was to remain so for successive generations. The Beaumont family enjoyed ownership of the manor in the 14th century during which time Philip de Beaumont became Abbot of Buckfast in the year 1349.
