18th century English country house with earlier and later additions set in the heart of the Evenlode Valley

Coldstone House occupies an enviable edge of village position in the Evenlode Valley. It enjoys a charming private setting which belies its proximity to local amenities and transport links.
Within the village there is the pretty 12th Century Church, railway station with services to Oxford and London Paddington beyond, village shop and thriving pub, The Swan. In the nearby village of Chadlington (5 miles) there are three excellent local shops - Chadlington Quality Foods, Slatters - a family butcher and an appealing coffee shop, the Cafe de la Post.

Grade II Listed, Coldstone House is a beautifully presented country house mainly built in the mid to late 18th century but with earlier and later additions. The house is of Cotswold stone construction under part Stonesfield and part reconstituted Stonesfield slate roof.
Echoing its architectural style are a wealth of period features including open fireplaces, exposed timbers, window seats, shuttered windows, leaded light and sash windows, plaster cornicing.
In more recent times, the subject of extensive renovation, the house offers exceptionally spacious and light accommodation free flowing from the kitchen and breakfast room, very much the hub of the house. Quality fixtures and fittings combine carefully with the charm of this delightful house thereby providing modern living amongst it's age and charm. Attention has been particularly paid to the kitchens, bathrooms, heating (partial under floor), lighting, painted panelling, built in bookshelves, storage cupboards, stone and oak flooring, oak staircase.
Of note is a bespoke deVOL handmade kitchen, 4-oven gas Aga, garden room linking the house with the annexe and indoor heated swimming pool complex.
Versatile living accommodation with integral annexe and offices over offering scope for working from home or incorporation into the annexe as additional accommodation.
