Why You’ll Like it
Lewes Crescent is wonderful address where stunning white Regency buildings stand around the beautiful private gardens that reach down to the seafront. A large front door takes you into the communal hallway, then to the front door of this superb apartment. Inside a wide hallway seems to reach deep into the building before turning a corner, seemingly endless. To the right the first doorway leads into a fabulous, modern kitchen. A brilliant, tall window with gorgeous grey shutters and window frame stands grandly in the centre of the inner wall. This is a fantastic kitchen with simple, stylish white units, black worktops and a stove set back into the chimneybreast. To the right, French window-style doors open into the magnificent sitting room. Like the kitchen, this room has an impressive tall ceiling and two large sash windows that look out onto the private gardens and sea beyond. A cleverly placed mirror accentuates the light from these windows almost giving the impression of a third window. The room has warm floorboards and has been decorated in cool grey and white and the stylish fireplace has a lovely black surround contrasting with the white mantelpiece. These two rooms feel very elegant but the modern décor and unfussy style make this feel very much a place to relax in.
Down the wide and far-reaching hallway you pass a cool contemporary WC behind smoked glass internal windows. Further along a door opens to the right into a smaller side hallway that leads to what feels like another ‘wing’ to this apartment. Here there is first the family bathroom that has a stylish modern white suite and large tiles on the floor and ceiling. Across the hallway the second bedroom has a tall window looking out to the back of the house and a wall of built-in wardrobes. Across from this a smaller, third bedroom, or study as it has most recently been used, has a frosted window looking out into an interior light well. Back at the end of the main hallway the master bedroom is a wonderful, spacious room with a bay window looking over the garden at the rear of the house. This delightful room with its tall ceiling and balanced style feels calm and quiet.
Bear in mind..
This is a really fabulous apartment whose layout makes it feel even more spacious and thoroughly individual. There is, however, no private garden or outdoor space, but the owners do have much coveted access to the wonderful garden enclosure that also has a ‘secret’ tunnel down to the beach!
We love being able to sit outdoors and enjoy the sea air and the enclosures are beautiful place to be – and someone else does the gardening!”
