Rhos-on-Sea Golf Club was founded in 1899 with the present clubhouse being constructed in 1905. The current facilities include:

Planning consent was granted in September 2008 for a large extension to the clubhouse. This planning consent has been implemented by the construction of the new pro-shop and WC facilities.
The golf course is a relatively flat parkland course, but because of its coastal location, plays like a links course. It has fairly wide fairways, raised tees and fast and true greens, several of which are Mackenzie Style two tiered.
Over the past few years, the present owner has planted hundreds of trees and invested in the course drainage. Today, around 28 miles of drainage serve the course, meaning that flooding very rarely occurs. In addition, a sprinkler system has been installed to all 18 greens and tees. There are no electricity pylons or telegraph poles running across the course and there are no public rights of way affecting the property.
The course is made up of 11 par 4's, five par 3's and two par 5's playing to a Par of 69 off both white and yellow tees. The Ladies' card is made up of eight par 4's, five par 5's and five par 3's playing to a Par of 72.
Several of the par 4's are dog legs, the par 5's are only reachable in two shots to the longer hitters, the par 3's vary, with shorter ones that have strategic bunkering to others where you have to carry water to reach the green. The signature 18th hole has an island green completely surrounded by water to provide a further test.

CLUBHOUSE / HOTEL
The clubhouse comprises a substantial two storey building. The ground floor comprises a small entrance lobby, main lounge, dining room with seating for circa 45 covers, kitchen, billiard room and members' bar area. On the first floor, there are 15 twin/double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Six of these bed spaces are contained in a separate 'flat' which has its own kitchen area and entrance off the first floor balcony.
Planning consent was granted in September 2008 for a large extension to the clubhouse and business. The planning consent was for "part demolition and extension and alterations to existing club premises including a new swimming pool and erection of replacement golf shop and changing facility".
The addition of a gym, swimming pool and conference facilities would obviously substantially diversify the club's current business. The planning consent has been implemented by the construction of the WC facilities to the rear of the clubhouse and the adjacent Pro-shop.
PRO-SHOP AND WCS
The Pro-shop was recently constructed in order to implement the 2008 planning permission. Situated between the clubhouse and carpark, with views over the course, it operates as the reception for the golf course.
Further outbuildings include the green-keeper's sheds and the former Pro-shop currently used by a Sports Injury Clinic.
The golf course is popular in the local area with a strong membership. In addition, due to its coastal location and accommodation, the club has the potential to attract large numbers of seasonal visitors. The hotel, especially with the existing planning permission, presents potential purchasers with a fantastic opportunity to expand the business with corporate golf packages.
