Milton-Under-Wychwood is situated in the Evenlode Valley, on the eastern edge of the Costwold Hills. It is one of three local villages, including Shipton-Under-Wychwood and Ascott-Under-Wychwood that takes its name from the Royal Forest of Wychwood.

The village provides various amenities including the Wychwood Pre-school, Wychwood library and Co-op. Charlbury is approximately 7 miles away and offers a wider variety of shops, as well as the direct railway link to London Paddington. More extensive shopping and cultural facilities can be found in Chipping Norton, Burford, Oxford and Cheltenham.

1 High Street is a most interesting property, that according to old indentures has previously been used as a premises for a tailor, a butcher, a greengrocer and a post office and has been known locally as Milton Post Office & Stores. Most recently, it has provided a comfortable family home, with flexible accommodation arranged over two floors.

The entrance to the property leads into a comfortable sitting room, which has retained various period features, including exposed stone work and the old butcher's hooks in the ceiling. Beyond the sitting room is a dining room with adjoining conservatory that overlooks the garden. The kitchen has fitted units and a central island. At the north-eastern end of the house is a large area that is currently used for storage but could be repurposed to provide additional accommodation.

On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms, a shower room and a family bathroom. The attic can be accessed via a staircase that leads from the landing and may offer potential for additional accommodation.

1 High Street is approached from Shipton Road via wooden gates, which open onto a gravel driveway and turning area. At the end of the drive is a double garage and attached store. There is a small area of lawn and a mixed border.

Square Footage: 3,391 sq ft

Leave Oxford on the A40 to Burford. From the A40 at the Burford roundabout take the A361 towards Chipping Norton. Follow the A361 into the village of Shipton-Under-Wychwood. Just past the Wychwood Inn bear left into Milton Road, signposted for Milton-Under-Wychwood. Proceed along Milton Road, past the petrol station and continue straight on, following the Shipton Road. The property will be found on the left, opposite the junction with Church Road.
