Description

Occupying a delightful rural setting in East Sussex, Colbrans Farm offers a combination of farming and amenity assets.

and equestrian property available.

The farmland extends to around 1000 acres. This is made up of about 435 acres of arable and short term leys, over 487 acres of pasture, 38 acres of woodland and 40 acres of other ground. Included in this are a range of modern and traditional farm buildings.

Access through the farm is excellent with an internal track leading through the middle from the northern end of the farm to the southern end, where the track meets a large area of pasture. The northern part of the farm is made up of mixed arable and grass leys with the longer term pasture being found to the south.

The farming is currently undertaken with the assistance of a local contractor and uses a rotation of wheat, oats, beans, oats and grass. Historically the farm has been farmed organically supporting a beef suckler herd but currently the grazing is let locally.

There are a number of copses, shaws and larger areas of woodland, which offer good sporting potential. The shoot is currently run as a family syndicate and benefits from some excellent wildfowling and days of over 100 birds, often including up to 20 species.
