In brief:

Style: first floor flat in a converted Victorian building

Bedrooms: 1 double

Living rooms: 1 spacious

Area: 508 sq. ft. 47.2 sq. m.

Location: East Hove

Parking: Residents Permit Zone M

Why you’ll like it:

The building itself dates back to 1900 when it was a telephone exchange, and was then Hove Social Club before being converted into luxurious apartments in 1996. You enter through a stately black front door, and you can either take the lift or climb a couple of flights of stairs to the second floor where a door leads you through to a short hallway and your door is at the end on the right.

The entrance hall is welcoming, and it is immediately apparent that this flat has been impeccably cared for as every surface and appliance looks brand new. A quality marl carpet stretches out ahead of you into the living room and bedroom, but first the kitchen is on the left.It boasts a quality kitchen supplied by Hove Kitchens and is generously sized with white gloss units along two walls. The splash backs are on trend in black metro brick, and the worktop compliments both in a grey marble effect. The washer dryer is integrated, and there is space for a tall freestanding fridge freezer. There is also an wide opening to the living room, so not only does this let in a lot of natural light, but is makes the space more sociable so you can chat to guests as you cook.

Going now into the living room, you are greeted by three graciously tall sash windows which look out over the beautiful architectural features of the buildings opposite, and are in a bay so you can place a dining table here. There is also ample space in here for a sofa and chairs, and looking up to the ceiling you see an opening to another room. You need a ladder to access this which is neatly stored behind the door. It is an easy climb up, and once inside there is almost 5 feet in head room, and a big picture window looks out over the living space. It currently has a kingside sofa bed housed here, and there is a raised platform which would easily perform as another double bed. A cupboard door leads from here to an attic space- essential storage in a flat, and the whole area is carpeted.

Returning to the hall, the double bedroom is next on the left, and this shares the high ceilings and tall sash windows of the living room. There are built in wardrobes with white wooden doors, and these provide extra storage above too.

Next door, and last but by no means least is the bathroom. This contemporary room also has metro brick tiles on the walls around the bath in green, and the floor is fuss free in a slate grey mosaic effect linoleum. The suite is white, there is a shower over the bath, and there is a mirrored cupboard over the hand basin for your toiletries. This is a really well maintained apartment in an attractive building, perfectly located for all.

Bear in mind:

Although this flat doesn't come with private parking, you can get a resident’s permit, or there are plenty of excellent transport options and cycle paths which take you throughout the city and beyond if you are car free.
