The historic cathedral city of St Andrews is without doubt one of the most popular locations in Britain. St Andrews is home to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club and the famous Old Course. Access by rail, road and air is good. Leuchars railway station (14 miles) is on the main Aberdeen to London line and provides a fast link to Dundee and Edinburgh. Edinburgh Airport, with its increasingly wide range of domestic and i nternational flights, is only 52 miles away and Dundee Airport (22 miles) has regular services to London Stansted. There is a dual carriageway and motorway connection to Edinburgh from Kirkcaldy (25 miles). An alternative route is via Cupar on the A91 to join the M90 at Junction 8 (28 miles).
Rosebank is a particularly pretty stone built family home under a pitched slate roof. The house has many traditional features and the accommodation is nicely arranged for family living. The beautifully maintained gardens surround the house and extend to about 0.79 acres. The gardens gently slope down towards the Kenly Water and to the south west of the boundary is the Boarhills Viaduct, which formed part of the East Fife railway which opened in 1861 and closed in 1969. A further store (on the north east side of the house) links the front and back gardens and is a useful space for storing garden machinery, coal and lo gs.
The riverside garden gently slopes down towards the Kenly Water. There is a series of garden paths running through the garden along with stone steps and terraced flower beds. Interspersed through the garden are a number of mature trees and shrubs which include colourful rhododendrons. The impressive Boarhills Viaduct can be seen from the garden and towers above the south west corner where there is a stone built log store. The garden is bordered by mature hedges and stone walls. The grounds extend to approximately 0.79 acres in all.
