The West Barn is a charming detached Grade II Listed barn, possibly built in the late 17th or early 18th century and converted into an individual property of much quality and character. One of the most noteworthy features is perhaps the location, set close to the meandering River Rib and in the bottom of an unspoilt valley of farmland and mature deciduous woodland. The property is convenient for commuting, but could also make an ideal weekend retreat. The accommodation is arranged on a single level and has an impressive vaulted drawing room, a fitted kitchen with integrated appliances, two bedrooms and recently fitted contemporary bathroom. Outside, there is a well stocked garden and two car port parking spaces.
Latchford is a scattered hamlet close to the village of Standon, which lies virtually astride the A10 and A120.
Directions From Bishop’s Stortford proceed west on the A120 passing through the traffic lights, into Standon. In the centre of Standon pass through the traffic lights and proceed up the hill taking the left turn signposted to Barwick. After about 1.25 miles take a left turn to Latchford and after about 0.25 mile pass over a bridge and at the ‘T’ junction turn left. After about 200 yards turn into a cul-de-sac by the river and the property is the first barn.
