Description - Cash buyers sought for this fantastic and unique opportunity to convert this a brick barn into detached two bedroom single storey cottage. Considerable scope to extend, subject to planning. All set in an idyllic and highly desirable rural location, with approximately 0.8 acre plot.
Thought to have been originally part of the Hilders Court Estate, planning consent was granted in October 2012 (WD/2012/1450F) to convert each of these three barns into a separate and individual dwellings. This consent expired in October 2015 and a new planning application (WD/2015/1894/F) has been submitted for the same consent. Obviously any sale is subject to that planning consent being granted, without any unusual or onerous restrictions.
Location - In an idyllic rural location in the heart of beautiful East Sussex countryside, 0.2 mile up a track and only 0.5 mile stroll along a country lane to the famous Six Bells pub, village church and stores. Chiddingly also offers a primary school. The old market town of Hailsham is approximately 6 miles and offers excellent day to day shopping amenities with three supermarkets including a Waitrose, along with many pubs, restaurants and an independent cinema. The County Town of Lewes is 10 miles and offers extensive shopping and recreational amenities, together with a London line rail station (London Bridge/Victoria about 64 minutes). The major coastal towns of Eastbourne and Brighton are 13 and 20 miles respectively. The area provides excellent leisure facilities with the farm track being part of the Wealden Way footpath and bridleway and so providing wonderful country walks and horse riding from your front door. The international opera house at Glyndebourne is less than 9 miles, sailing is available from various points along the coast and inland at Bewl water. There are a number of Golf courses locally including The East Sussex National near Uckfield within 6 miles.

Therefore, in the interests of your safety, we will not allow viewings where children or dogs are present.
Route To View - From London/M25 take the A22 south, passing Uckfield and Halland. Exactly 2.2 miles after East Hoathly roundabout turn left into Whitesmith Lane. After 0.5 mile turn right into Highlands Lane and after another 0.5 mile the track to the farm will be found on the left.
From Brighton take the A27, then the A26 via Lewes, turning right after leaving Lewes onto the B2192 through Ringmer. After passing through Ringmer turn right at the roundabout onto the B2124 and continue through Laughton to the end, turning left at the T junction onto the A22 towards East Hoathly/Uckfield. After 0.8 mile turn right into Whitesmith Lane and then continue as above.
