Burnham Market is a much visited village often thought of as the loveliest in Norfolk, close to the North Norfolk Coast. The village has a full range of around 40 privately owned and run shops including a delicatessen, wine merchants, butchers, chemist and various boutiques. Amenities include a primary school, post office, doctor's surgery, dentist, garage, hard tennis courts, a fine parish church and a range of hostelries including "The Hoste" - a renowned 4-star hotel. The village is centred round a green of mainly Georgian houses in what is considered an extremely desirable location.
Herrings Lane is probably the most sought after location in Burnham Market, a quiet lane away from the bustle of the green with fine properties, many of which have lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Saltmarsh House sits in a spectacular spot with the rare bonus of views over the coast as well as lovely easterly views of open countryside.
An immense amount of careful thought has gone into the creation of Saltmarsh House which is a rare find. The house is a mix of traditional and contemporary styles, with the classic Norfolk flint combined with render and the modern large full height sliding glass doors which fully capture the amazing views.
Inside it is a journey of discovery, full height hard wood doors, and feature panelling, bespoke floor and wall tiles, Bulthaup kitchen with Gaggenau, Miele, and Wolf appliances, including large double oven with warming drawer, microwave, 2 dishwashers, large wine cooling fridge, coffee machine, and concealed integral larder/store room. The kitchen, like the sitting room has two walls of glass with sliding doors making the most of the views. The house has a computer system for the control of fitted electric window blinds, mood lighting, and security system, both in situ and remotely. All bathrooms have high specification sanitary wear and heated towel rails. There are also many practical touches like the hidden larder/store room in the kitchen, the fully fitted utility room with generous linen cupboards, and the dressing room in the master bedroom with many unique features.
The Cinema/games room has high specification 3 D projection system screen and surround sound and this room also has plenty of space for comfortable sofas and for a pool table. Here like the rest of the house the lighting has been beautifully designed to create the best possible atmosphere.
The garden has been professionally designed by David Domoney with well-established plants and trees, resin bound gravelled parking area, flint filled gabion garden walls, sunken south facing terrace, decking and the wonderful seamless wood effect terracing that the sliding doors open onto from the kitchen on both sides of the house.
The separate gym has two sets of bi fold doors, ceramic tiled flooring and is connected to the AV television and music system.
