Sitting at about sea level and rising to about 10m a.s.l, the farm is essentially flat lying and currently divided into 11 principal enclosures together with smaller strips of woodland and areas of scrubland which provide great amenity and shelter. The land here effectively forms an island and in the past was used for grazing sheep and cattle but which in recent years has been cropped with cereals, potatoes and carrots. There are areas of scrubland along the river banks with two thin strips of mixed species woodland separating the fields and providing amenity and shelter.
