Follow this road towards South Brent and Palstone Farmhouse will be found on the left hand side as you approach the village.

If travelling from the Plymouth direction, leave the A38 at Wrangaton immediately past the Shell Service Station. Keep left for South Brent, continue straight over the roundabout and the house will be on your right hand side as you leave the village.

DESCRIPTION Great Palstone Farmhouse is a magnificent property dating back in parts to probably the 16th Century, the front eastern elevation would appear to be of Georgian period and the adjoining barn is 19th Century. The house provides comfortable and attractive accommodation with four reception rooms, plus a kitchen and utility room on the ground floor. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor and a further three bedrooms and one bathroom on the second floor. This attic floor is approached by a secondary staircase and has the potential to be a self contained suite.

Attractive gardens lie to the north and east of the house, to the south is the stable yard with a range of timber loose boxes and a fine two storey stone barn providing useful storage or workshop space and with potential, subject to planning, to create ancillary accommodation. Tucked in behind the house, and invisible from outside, is a delightful enclosed courtyard making a wonderful summer entertaining spot. The house is situated on the outskirts of South Brent within easy reach of all that the village has to offer.

SOUTH BRENT The moorland village of South Brent stands under the southern foothills of Dartmoor National Park, and on the northern edge of the lovely South Hams fifteen miles from the centre of Plymouth.

The village is one with a strong community with churches, a primary school, shops, and a post office. There are well-regarded community colleges at Totnes and Ivybridge, each with a wide range of facilities for the wider community. The ancient market town of Totnes is within about eight miles and some of the finest beaches on the south coast are within easy reach.

Situated just off the A38 Expressway, the village is well placed for quick access to Plymouth, Torbay and Exeter for which there are regular bus services.
