APPEALING & VERSATILE SEMI DETACHED HOME FORMING PART OF THE NEW STRATA DEVELOPMENT ON THE ORIGINAL HOME OF HULL CITY AFC ON THE FORMER DEDICATED RAILWAY STATION.

Description - Ideal for the first time buyer or investor, this most appealing three storey two bedroom house has been finished to a high specification throughout the accommodation and enjoys double glazing, central heating, two shower rooms, a spacious open plan lounge / kitchen at the first floor level and a reserved parking. Forming part of this cul-de-sac development and having been built on the original home of Hull City AFC at Boothferry Park, the Agents would recommend a full internal inspection to appreciate the versatile accommodation on offer.

Location - There are excellent shopping and recreational facilities on Boothferry Road / Anlaby Road which is comfortable walking distance from the property and easy vehicular connections to Hull City Centre to the East and the general motorway network via the A63 in a Westerly direction and the Humber Bridge.

History - Boothferry Park Halt railway station opened on 6 January 1951 on an embankment of the former Hull and Barnsley Railway to serve the Boothferry Park football stadium which had opened in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire in August 1946. The station was one of several in England built to provide a dedicated match-day service to a football ground; others include Manchester United Football Ground (still open), Watford Stadium Halt, Ramsline Halt in Derby, and the first Wembley Stadium station. The station was first used for a match against Everton when six trains ran the football service between Paragon Station, Hull's central railway station and Boothferry Park. The station closed in 1986 for safety reasons.

The station was a single platform, 200 yards (180 m) long, that was removed in October 2007 by Network Rail during engineering work.
