Doddington is a charming rural village located to the north of Wooler on the B6525. The Plot which sits adjacent to Nos 5 & 6 is a level site of some 0.075 Hectare. The outline planning permission reference, 16/01749/OUT, has been granted for the construction of a two storey detached four bedroom property with a footprint of 96m.
Plot Design:
The proposal will continue with the form of existing surrounding houses, therefore it would be proposed to use the existing building line of the front boundary wall to form the front elevation of the dwelling. The current ground levels would be excavated to match the road level so the building would have similar ridge and eaves heights as the existing houses. It would be proposed to use a pallet of materials that are sympathetic to the village including stone front elevation, timber windows and doors and a clay or concrete pantile roof.
Landscaping:
It is proposed to leave the existing mature tree within the garden ground towards the rear of the plot and any mature trees that are positioned on the other side of the raised mill retaining area would also be left. A new fence would be installed between the new plot and No. 5 Drovers Lane.

Foul drainage - to be connected to a new sewage treatment plant .

Water - the area is supplied by a private spring water supply which runs in the verge and would supply the new proposed plot.
