This 1930s semi-detached house offers plenty of curb appeal and having a driveway with an abundance of parking outside your house is certainly a rarity in roads this close to town. At the end of the shingle driveway there is also a single garage.
As you enter into the hallway you will instantly notice the handsome period features retained throughout, such as the original front door and solid wood flooring. The current owners have completely refurbished the house and used every room and cupboard to its full potential, such as the under stairs cupboard which is now used as a cloakroom. Making your way into the living room the feature bay window at the front not only floods this room with light but also makes this room feel extremely spacious. The remarkable open fireplace sits in the centre of the wall and is surrounded by a stunning stone insert. At the back of the house, and covering the entire width, is the impressive open plan kitchen/dining room and family area. As you walk through you can immediately see this really is the hub of this home! With a sleek black granite worktop and plenty of cupboards to store the weekly food shopping in. The current owners extended this room out and added a family/snug area at the back, with Velux windows on the vaulted ceiling and double patio doors leading out into the garden. As you make your way outside, the secluded and generous sized garden has been designed & landscaped for families to enjoy. There are two patio areas to seat your outdoor furniture and a decking area at the back of the garden with stunning views over the Surrey Hills. There is also a vegetable patch where the current owners have planted lots of yummy fruit and veg such as courgettes, beans, strawberries and raspberries.
Upstairs you have three excellent sized bedrooms and a modern family bathroom with a 4-piece suite. On the top floor the current owners have converted the loft into the master bedroom with fitted wardrobes and its own en-suite shower room.
Being a short walk away from Redhill town centre and train station, the location here is perfect for anyone needing to commute into London. The direct trains into London can get you there in only 30 minutes!!! Not many people know this but there is a handy cut through pathway in Hillfield Close that takes you directly to Cavendish Road, making your walk into town even shorter!
I would highly recommend taking a stroll down to The Home Cottage pub which serves some excellent food!
We have really enjoyed the last 13 years living in Redstone Park. The road has a real community feel, with lots of families, including its own online forum and in 2012 the road was closed to hold The Jubilee Street Party.
It is a perfect location for walks to the countryside and we have enjoyed local bike rides to the country park. Hidden behind Redstone Park is Redstone Tennis Club, only a few minutes walk away.
