Neighbouring villages include Boughton, Fincham, Crimplesham, West Dereham, Wretton and Stoke Ferry.
In the centre of the village is the pond - known locally as the pit. Nearby on the village green, the Village sign depicts 'Billy the Seal', one of Wereham's most famous residents from the 1920s. There is also a church and public house.

DIRECTIONS
From Downham Market town centre head east along the A1122 towards Swaffham and Thetford. Turn right after the Volvo garage signposted Crimplesham and proceed to the end of the road. At the T-junction turn right signposted A134 Thetford. Continue straight-over the roundabout and upon entering the village of Wereham turn left signposted village centre.
